Dhulian Municipality is an Urban Local Body situated in the Samserganj Block of Jangipur Subdivision under Murshidabad District, West Bengal. The Municipality was established in the year 1909 and presently comprises 21 Wards covering an area of 6.25 sq. km.
The Municipality is responsible for providing essential civic amenities and services to the citizens residing within its jurisdiction. It functions under the administrative control of the Department of Urban Development & Municipal Affairs, Government of West Bengal.
Administrative Setup
The administration of Dhulian Municipality is carried out under the guidance of the Board of Councillors headed by the Chairman. The daytoday administrative functions are managed by the Executive Officer along with other officers and staff of the Municipality.
